Privacy Policy

Skip to My Recipe ("we", "us") makes a recipe-keeping app for iPhone and Android and runs this website. We collect only what the app needs to work. We don't sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
What we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Apple, Google or email, we receive your email address and, if you share it, your name. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we receive a private relay address instead.
Your recipes
The recipes you save: titles, ingredients, steps, notes, source links and photos. We store them so they sync across your devices and can be restored on a new phone.
What you import
When you import a recipe, we process the web page, photo or text you send us to extract the recipe. We keep the resulting recipe, the source link and a resized copy of the recipe photo. We count how many imports you make each month to apply plan limits.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple or Google. We never see your card details. We receive your subscription status (for example trial, active or expired) and the product you bought, so the app knows which features to unlock.
Crash and error reports
If the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a technical report (device model, operating system version, app version and what went wrong) so we can fix it. These reports are not used for advertising.
This website
The website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block abuse.
Who processes data for us
We use these service providers, each only for the purpose listed:
- Supabase: account sign-in, database and photo storage
- Anthropic (Claude): reads imported pages, photos and text to extract the recipe. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.
- RevenueCat: keeps track of subscriptions bought through Apple and Google
- Apple and Google: sign-in, app distribution and payments
- Sentry: crash and error reports
- Cloudflare: website hosting
Some of these providers process data in the United States and other countries. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and recipes until you delete them or your account. If you stop paying, we keep your recipes (some are locked) so they're there when you come back; we never delete recipes because a subscription ended. When you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days, including from backups. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days.
Your choices and rights
- Access and export: export all your recipes from the app at any time.
- Correct: edit any recipe or your profile in the app.
- Delete: delete recipes one by one, or delete your account and all of its data.
- Ask us: email support@skiptomyrecipe.com to ask what we hold about you or to make any other privacy request. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our database only lets each account read its own recipes, and recipe photos are stored privately.
Children
Skip to My Recipe is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll also let you know in the app.
